Simply put, a Djalt is nothing, nonexistent. But its also everything. It’s the first letters of all the names in our little family.
I’m sure — if you’re like most people — you’re wondering, “What the heck is a Djalt?!” We’ve heard this question asked numerous times, so we decided to go ahead and answer right here!
Back in June–July 2021, when Josh had the idea to start his own lawn maintenance company, he was struggling to think of a name (as I believe many entrepreneurs do when they start) and had a few candidates. The leading name for a long time was “589 Mowing” since he and his family live in Stoughton. After a phone conversation with his sister Anna, where she challenged him to come up with something meaningful, he felt like he was back at square one.
One day on a long drive to a far away destination, Josh started racking his brain. He started thinking about his wife and kids’ names- Amanda, Dane, Liam and Tamsen — trying to come up with something. Hmm… their initials are J, A, D, L, T. Well, being a fan of the movie/name “Django”, when he started rearranging letters, it wasn’t much of a surprise that he settled on “Djalt”. He ran it by his wife and sister and both loved it, and that was all the confirmation needed to solidify this choice!
Simply put, Djalt is nothing, nonexistent. But it’s also everything. It is literally the initials of all the names in our little family. The names of the people who mean the most. Josh put his family front and center in the name, both as a reminder of why he does what he does, but also to show that we are a family business. We take pride in what we do and make every effort to keep our clients satisfied. When you choose Djalt, you choose a family, not just a business.
